You create a new registry by selecting File.New BAR Registry from
the menu. You open an existing registry by selecting File.Open BAR
Registry from the menu.
While a registry is loaded in BARfly, all changes to it only impact the
registry instance in memory. You must save the registry back
to the disk explicitly to make your changes permanent.
The "master registry" is a special case of registry. The file called
"master.ffr" in the BARfly installation directory is the master registry.
BARfly loads this registry on startup. If BARfly is invoked from
the command line, the master registry serves as a reference for data file
schema sources.
A registry without any implementation files cannot be saved.
You cannot save a newly-created, unmodified registry, nor can you save a
pre-existing registry with all its contents removed.
